Long-standing and trustful cooperation
Thiekötter and technotrans have been working together successfully for more than 20 years. This long-standing partnership is based on constructive and collaborative cooperation as well as regional proximity. particular appreciation is given to the reliable and energy-efficient systems from technotrans, which make a significant contribution to optimising the thermal management of the printing presses.
For its new HP Indigo 15K digital printing press, Thiekötter has become the first printing company to invest in the new generation of the technotrans ECOtec.chiller xtend with natural refrigerant. The close cooperation between the two companies enabled a precise adaptation of the cooling systems to Thiekötter's specific requirements.
During the project phase, technotrans carried out minor adjustments to the cooling solution to ensure optimal operating parameters. This intensive collaboration and continuous exchange led to the successful implementation of the new technology.
»The long-standing and trustful cooperation with technotrans is of great importance to us. Thanks to technotrans' innovative and energy-efficient cooling systems, we are able to further optimise our production processes and sustainably reduce our carbon footprint.«

The technology
The technotrans ECOtec.chiller xtend is an innovative cooling solution developed specifically for demanding applications in the field of liquid cooling. This technology is characterised by its high energy efficiency and environmental friendliness, as it operates with a natural refrigerant.
Advantages at a glance:
Comprehensive commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency
As part of its corporate environmental protection system, Thiekötter continuously optimises its processes. Measures range from the use of FSC®-certified papers and 100 percent green electricity to printing inks based on renewable raw materials and the use of waste heat from printing presses for heating purposes. The printing company even offers its customers the option to offset the CO₂ emissions generated, enabling them to obtain a carbon-neutral printed product. Technology plays a central role in this:
For a sustainable future
Thiekötter has invested in the new generation of the technotrans ECOtec.chiller xtend with natural refrigerant. The natural refrigerant used is propane (R290), which has an exceptionally low global warming potential (GWP) of just 0.02. The use of propane significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the cooling technology. The utilisation of this natural refrigerant ensures the long-term legal compliance of the system and contributes to sustainable production by minimising environmental impact. Thanks to microchannel technology, refrigerant usage is reduced by up to 60 percent compared to conventional solutions. With a GWP value of only 0.02, propane represents a long-term and environmentally friendly solution for thermal management systems.
