INTERNSHIPS
Would you like to gain valuable practical experience through an internship? We offer you this opportunity!
Our internship program covers all areas and departments. Depending on your field of study or specialization, you can complete your internship in technical, commercial, or IT areas. We offer the following types of internships:
Mandatory internship as part of a bachelor's or master's degree program or as a pre-study internship before starting your degree
Practical semester (also in combination with a thesis)
Voluntary internship
Interns are integrated into our daily work processes, are assigned specific tasks, and thus gain comprehensive insight into our day-to-day business. Cross-departmental internships are also possible, allowing you to get to know different departments at technotrans and gain valuable insight into the processes and functions of a mechanical and plant engineering company.
Working Student

WORKING STUDENT POSITION
Too much theory in your studies? As a working student, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and prepare yourself perfectly for your future career.
Get to know our departments while you study and put your theoretical knowledge into practice. With a mix of regular tasks and new projects, no two days are the same. This gives you an insight into our various fields of activity.
You will be a fully integrated member of the team from day one, because as a working student you will gain comprehensive insight into the working world at technotrans. At the same time, you will have enough time to successfully pursue your studies. Together with your team, you will work on exciting and responsible tasks. You will also receive an attractive salary. In consultation with your team, you can arrange your working hours flexibly.
You will work a maximum of 20 hours per week for technotrans. During lecture-free periods, this can be extended to 38 hours per week.

We regularly advertise topics for theses and project work from various departments.
Do you already have an interesting topic that you would like to work on together with technotrans as part of a thesis (bachelor's or master's)? No problem - we are open to many topics from a wide range of departments. Simply submit a speculative application with your desired topic and we will see how we can support you.

COMPANY TOUR
Not quite sure yet whether you want to do your internship or thesis at technotrans? Then a company tour at our Sassenberg site is just the thing for you!
The tour offers you and other students the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at our company. Among other things, you can expect a tour of our production facilities, where you can experience firsthand how our products are manufactured. You can also experience our corporate culture and atmosphere for yourself. You will have the opportunity to talk to experienced employees and network with us. Who knows – maybe you'll secure an internship or find a topic for your thesis!
You're probably wondering what the company tour is like: It takes place once a year in February/March and includes the following program:

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about careers at technotrans
Here you will find answers to the most important questions about internships, theses, working student positions, and applications at technotrans. We want to provide you with all the information you need to prepare yourself as well as possible for your time with us.
You can either apply directly for an advertised position or submit your application at any time. This gives you the flexibility to choose the right time for you.
For your application, you will need a current resume, relevant certificates, and a certificate of enrollment. A short cover letter is also important to us. In it, you should specify the period/duration of your internship/thesis and also explain which subject area interests you.
The duration of an internship at technotrans varies depending on the type of internship. Depending on the requirements, it usually lasts between 3 and 6 months, with both voluntary and compulsory internships available. This allows you to flexibly choose the duration that suits your individual situation.
During your thesis, you will have an experienced mentor at your side to provide you with advice and support. They will guide you through the entire process, answer your questions, give you valuable tips, and help you to structure your work in the best possible way. This means you will receive excellent support and can concentrate fully on the success of your thesis.
Your application process:
Step 1: Online application: You apply via the career portal and upload your application documents directly for the selected position or submit a speculative application.
Step 2: Getting to know each other: In an initial interview, you will get to know the department and gain an insight into the possible range of tasks you will be performing during your employment. Here you will have time and space to ask any questions you may have.
Step 3: Decision-making process: Acceptance – and now what? If everything fits for both sides, you will receive your contract and we look forward to you joining us!
