technotrans vs. SARS-CoV-2:
Our part in the

COVID-19 pandemic.

The initial situation// The first lockdown had just taken effect when Ritter GmbH, a system-relevant manufacturer in the corona crisis, urgently required a temperature control solution.

The surge in demand and the resulting sharp increase of the production output called for additional temperature control systems. The company needed temperature control units with highly efficient centrifugal pumps. And the clock was ticking – the systems had to be ready ASAP! All hope now rested on technotrans.

The flexibility of technotrans// Our specialised group member for these types of temperature control units is our factory in Meinerzhagen. The company quickly changed the shift plan and increased the production output steeply in order to be able to supply Ritter GmbH as quickly as possible. „WWe completely stopped our daily routine tasks and refocused our entire capacity to handle this situation“, explains Nicolai Küls, managing director of gwk.

Instead of 8 weeks, technotrans needed only 3 weeks to supply Ritter GmbH with the required temperature control units. This is also largely thanks to the highly committed workforce of the Meinerzhagen factory who reacted to the current situation with understanding, a high level of flexibility and even worked extra hours.

»A small, yet important
cog in the wheel.«

Temperature control units with great significance.

„Of course, we also fulfil our social responsibility during the current COVID-19 pandemic – and will continue to do so“, explains Nicolai Küls. „Rapid testing of large parts of the population are only possible if the supply chains are not disrupted. This means that our temperature control units are a small, yet important cog in the wheel.“

Samuel Krebber, technical plant manager of Ritter GmbH, remembers: „In this exceptional situation, the extremely fast supply of the temperature control units was of utmost importance to us. We are glad to have technotrans  as a reliable partner at our side.“

Sustainability strategy.

In addition, the particularly energy-efficient large-scale units of the protemp series are technotrans' contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. But that is not all: Thanks to a software update, technotrans was able to reduce the already low energy demand by additionally 90%! Nicolai Küls, managing director of gwk, explains: „Because of this additional increase in energy efficiency, the production processes of Ritter GmbH become even more sustainable without affecting the high level of quality. A good example of how we are purposefully putting the technotrans sustainability strategy into practice.“

»An important contribution,
including in view of our
certified energy efficiency.«
