Application-specific battery cooling system for road vehicles

A constant temperature profile is essential for a long service life and the correct operation of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles and stationary energy storage systems. The only way to ensure this is to use a high-performance cooling system.

With the zeta.road series, technotrans offers an energy-efficient battery cooling system which is specifically adapted to the requirements of electric road vehicles. Electric buses or autonomous special vehicles at airports, ports or for mining applications – technotrans develops bespoke cooling solutions with different cooling capacities and for different ambient temperatures.

The customised design, ultra-modern communications technology and diagnostic systems, e.g. CAN bus, ensure that the systems of the zeta.road series are an integral part of the energy storage system. The system automatically decides whether the batteries need to be cooled or heated, depending on the specified target temperature of the batteries. The optimum operating temperature is ensured at all times by way of water-glycol-circuits.
