Up to 92% power savings: technotrans expands its eco.line temperature control unit series

  • Increased pump rate between 60 l/min and 440 l/min and speed control as standard features
  • Up to 92% energy savings compared to conventional technologies
  • Extension of the temperature range to temperatures between 95°C and 180°C
  • Heating output of 9 kW up to 72 kW with loss free heat transfer

Sustainability initiative concerning the water temperature control units: technotrans expands its energy-efficient eco.line series. The temperature control units are now available with flow rates between 60 l/min and 440 l/min, and the temperature range is between 95°C and 180°C. All eco.line models are equipped with highly efficient, speed-controlled pumps resulting in a particularly high level of energy efficiency. Compared to conventional technologies with uncontrolled peripheral pumps, the technotrans solutions can yield power savings of up to 92%. In addition, the compact eco.line systems stand out due to their loss-free heat transfer based on a "longlife" stainless-steel heating cartridge and their extensive range of interface and equipment options.

"With the expansion of the eco.line series, we set new standards in terms of the efficiency of these systems, thereby strengthening our technological leadership in the field of compact temperature control units. Sustainability, a reduced carbon footprint and optimum process conditions for our customers are the drivers for what we do," says Ralf Radke, head of the temperature control sector of technotrans solutions. The specialist for thermal management solutions increases the maximum available pump capacity of the eco.line series: Small teco ci units are now available with a flow rate of 60, 125 and 230 litres per minute, while the larger protemp or teco wi models have a flow rate of up to 83, 125, 300 or 440 litres per minute.

The eco.line temperature control series is intended for a medium temperature of 95°C, 140°C, 160°C or 180°C with a heating capacity between 9 kW and 72 kW. A large heat exchanger surface and the use of a direct cooling concept enable a high cooling capacity of up to 620 kW. All of the pumps of the eco.line series are speed-controlled, thereby ensuring the demand-based and highly efficient use of energy. Thanks to a "longlife" stainless-steel heating cartridge with a long-term warranty, which is integrated as a standard feature, the heat transfer occurs without any losses.

Easy maintenance, high flexibility and numerous options

In terms of the machine design, technotrans focuses on maximum flexibility and outstanding user-friendliness: A swivelling control cabinet front panel ensures optimum access to the electrical components. The front-mounted interface port can be configured for OPC UA, Profibus, Profinet as well as for analogue and serial interfaces. In addition, the solution provider has expanded the ecoAnalyser app in the display unit of the systems. The app ensures access to the energy management system of the pump efficiency module, energy savings assessments, CO2 savings analyses and data concerning the required and saved power in kW.

"Our eco.line system is based on a holistic approach: Our customers can integrate our itd evo multi-circuit water distribution system in numerous different ways to ensure the electronic flow rate and temperature monitoring of several temperature control circuits. The water distributor can also be retrofitted based on a plug & play concept," says Radke.

technotrans will present the expansion of its eco.line series for the first time at the K trade fair on 18-26 October at stand H23 in hall 10.
