Unique spray bars capture the market

Color Quality Club leader Saarbrücker Zeitung, Germany swears on deltaspray

The innovative and reliable technology of the modular spray dampening system deltaspray.line helps Saarbrücker Zeitung achieve consistant printing quality and high process stability.

The unique nozzle cleaning concept (Venturi principal) does not need any additional air supply, it reliably prevents from nozzle clogging. "This technological finesse is absolutely unique and so efficient that it cannot be compared to any other solution in the market today. Even now, with the installation over a year ago, no maintenance work whatsoever was or indeed  is necessary", says printing expert Peter Hammes from the Saarbrücker Zeitung, "Take a nozzle cleaning system with compressed air as an alternative: colleagues, using this technology confirm, that this easily leads to register problems in compact presses."

Shown on Ifra Expo 2010 as well: the new generation of dampening solutions for newspaper printing

With the deltaspray.line dampening solution, the new generation of spray dampening systems from technotrans AG is complete. The delta.sd is a proven solution that has established itself in the field of dampening solution preparation. The first high-efficiency solution for the filtration of dampening solutions from spray dampening systems, the delta.f is conquering the world of newspaper printing. This cross-flow filtration unit, which also can be retrofitted, impresses by quickly reducing operating costs from the day it is first installed. Both systems are available as stand-alone units or combined in the dampening solution centre, delta.sdf.

Various concepts for blanket cleaning

Also part of the technotrans presentation at the Ifra 2010 is a series of brush-based washing bars for blanket cleaning, the contex.line. The contex.lb cleans using a static, continuous brush. It has a very low cleaning agent requirement and an extremely high energy-efficient discharge of contamination via spindle technology. technotrans offers an alternative with the contex.mb, which cleans the blanket using a small, movable brush. New in this series is the model contex.mb sat, with which the upper satellite can be cleaned from above and the lower satellite from below. This solution is particularly operator-friendly. The brush head is just moved out of the printing press for maintenance or cleaning work. For this purpose the manufacturers will provide an aperture in the side panel of the printing press. This way maintenance and cleaning work on the short brush can be carried out especially easily, away from the paper web and cylinder. technotrans presents this solution as an example on a specially prepared model.

Modern ink supply with proven details

For solutions for central ink supply, technotrans has collected some 30 years of experience. At IFRA 2009, the focus will be on the latest developments in the area of high-performance pumps. Visitors will also find exciting updates for electronic control and monitoring of usage data, which can increase efficiency of both individual orders as well as of the entire operation.

The focus for technotrans at the 2009 IFRA Expo is set squarely on helping companies reduce their operating costs through process optimisation and stabilisation for all aspects of newspaper printing.
