Precision meets design: technotrans showcases vibration-free compact chillers for laboratories

• Live demonstration of the new compact Peltier benchtop chiller

• Refrigerant-free solutions and natural refrigerants ensure regulatory independence

• Stand-alone systems are air-freight approved and suitable for worldwide operation thanks to multi-voltage capability

technotrans will make its debut at LAB-SUPPLY in Graz on 9 July 2026, presenting forward-looking thermal management solutions for laboratory and analytical applications. The exhibition will focus on compact stand-alone units such as the new Peltier benchtop chiller and systems using natural refrigerants. With these solutions, the thermal management specialist addresses increasing regulatory requirements, the demand for energy-efficient Green Lab concepts and the need for low-vibration, low-noise equipment in laboratory environments.

"Modern laboratories are now representative workplaces. Alongside reliability, thermal management solutions increasingly need to offer a clear design language, intuitive operation and low noise levels," says Fabian Hille, Sales Manager at technotrans systems GmbH. "At LAB-SUPPLY in Graz, we will demonstrate how we have translated these requirements into practical products. Direct dialogue with end users helps us to refine our direction even further."

Silent cooling technology for sensitive measurement environments

In a live demonstration, technotrans will present its new Peltier chiller for highly sensitive measurement environments, including microscopy, spectroscopy and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The technology operates without a refrigerant circuit or compressor, making it exceptionally low in vibration and noise. Its modern, space-saving design allows the compact benchtop unit to integrate seamlessly into professional laboratory environments. The solution delivers temperature stability of ±0.05 Kelvin, rapid response times and compatibility with a wide range of media. The unit also features particularly simple and intuitive operation tailored to the needs of laboratory users.

Green Labs: Future-proof with natural refrigerants

Another key exhibition topic is the combination of high-performance technology with environmental responsibility. Alongside refrigerant-free Peltier technology, technotrans consistently relies on the natural refrigerant propane (R290) for higher cooling capacities. While many chemical refrigerants have a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of more than 1,000, propane has a GWP of just 0.02. As a result, these systems already comply with future regulatory requirements in Europe and the United States. This provides long-term planning certainty for users, eliminating the need to convert to alternative refrigerants in the years ahead.

A key advantage for international manufacturers and global research organisations is that technotrans offers air-freight-approved solutions across its portfolio of Peltier and compressor chillers. "Multi-voltage versions across our product ranges can be operated worldwide without technical modifications. This enables us to support our customers' international operations in the best possible way," says Hille.
