“PolyFormNEXT Product of the Year 2026” Award Ceremony

Ausgezeichnete Lösungskompetenz: technotrans-Kaltwassergerät teco cw holt den zweiten Platz beim „Produkt des Jahres 2026“

  • Thermal management solution succeeds in PolyFormNEXT reader poll
  • Second place in the “Tool and Mould Making” category
  • teco cw impresses with natural refrigerant, glycol-free operation and high energy efficiency

The teco cw chilled-water temperature control unit from technotrans is among the best products of 2026. In the reader poll of the trade magazine PolyFormNEXT, the thermal management solution secured second place in the “Tool and Mould Making” category. The award ceremony took place on 5 March in Munich.

“We are very pleased to receive this award and the vote of the readers. It confirms our consistent focus on sustainable thermal management solutions that precisely meet the plastics processing industry’s requirements for efficiency and process reliability,” said Fabian Heuel, Division Manager Sales and member of the management board of technotrans solutions GmbH, on the sidelines of the award ceremony.

Cost-efficient precision cooling without glycol

With the teco cw, technotrans offers an economical cooling solution for operation with glycol-free water at temperatures from 0 to 25 degrees Celsius. In contrast to conventional systems, the compact unit generates chilled water temperatures of down to 0 degrees Celsius without the addition of antifreeze. This makes the solution ideally suited for injection moulding applications involving segments that are difficult to temperature-control, as well as for cooling individual zones and smaller to medium-sized moulds. The circulating water is cooled directly in the unit close to the consumer.

The absorbed heat is then transferred – as with a temperature control unit – to the central plant cooling water. By connecting directly to the machine cooling system, the fan typically required in air-cooled compact chillers is eliminated. This not only removes a major source of noise, but also prevents warm exhaust air from entering the production hall.

Legally compliant and future-proof thanks to natural refrigerant

In terms of climate protection, the system scores highly with the use of the natural refrigerant propane (R290). The unit also operates with particularly high energy efficiency, significantly reducing companies’ carbon footprint. In view of increasingly stringent F-gas regulations, users already meet future regulatory requirements today and invest in long-term production reliability.

“The industry aims to increase productivity while simultaneously complying with stricter environmental regulations,” Heuel summarises. “With the teco cw, we provide our customers with the precise technological answer to these challenges.”
