Photonics West: technotrans showcases energy-efficient Peltier cooling systems and liquid cooling modules

  • Compact Peltier cooling systems with exceptionally low noise emissions
  • Liquid cooling modules for health care & analytics
  • p1000 modules with eco-friendly refrigerants

Focus on compact and energy-efficient thermal management solutions for laser applications: At this year’s SPIE Photonics West Exhibition, technotrans presents space-spacing Peltier-based cooling systems for integration into superordinate systems or as stand-alone solutions. In addition, the company also presents its new p1000 liquid cooling modules for use in medical, laboratory and analytical applications. These are also available with propane as a natural refrigerant and sustainable alternative.

“With laser technology evolving at such a rapid pace, especially when it comes to compact devices in the lower power range, precise and reliable cooling is becoming increasingly important. Our products offer manufacturers space-saving and precise thermal management systems which are unrivalled in terms of energy efficiency,” says Denis Roessel, Business Development Manager at technotrans systems in Baden-Baden. At the technotrans trade fair stand, visitors can experience compact Peltier cooling systems with a cooling output of up to 600 W which are particularly energy-efficient as well as being nearly noiseless and low-vibration in operation.

The production of cold is based on Peltier elements and with the aid of plate-shaped semiconductors. Voltage is applied to these elements. As a result, one side of the plate stays cold and the other one hot. This is why the technotrans Peltier devices do not contain any moving parts. As a result, there are no vibrations or sound emissions. In addition, the semiconductor plates have fast response characteristics and they directly adapt the cooling output when the voltage changes. This enables a fast and precise control of the feed flow temperature.

Bespoke cooling solutions for sophisticated applications

At the trade fair, technotrans also presents solutions based on the energy-efficient p1000 liquid cooling modules for use in the laser and semiconductor industry as well as in medical, laboratory and analytical applications. These series are among the smallest compressor cooling systems available on the market and with cooling outputs ranging from 50 W to 1400 W are efficient alternatives to conventional Peltier cooling systems – even under high ambient temperatures. Their multifunctional controller platform ensures maximum temperature stability and seamless process monitoring. Is more environmentally friendly unit operation required? As an option, technotrans can equip the p1000 modules with propane as a natural refrigerant.

In addition to the established series products, customised solution are also a key spotlight of the trade fair for technotrans. “The development of application-specific thermal management solutions for a wide range of technologies is our core competence. We support our customers in a highly personalised manner from initial task definition up to the delivery of the final product,” underlines Roessel.

technotrans will be at the SPIE Photonics West Exhibition from 28 January to 2 February 2023 at stand 4546.
