In-house training transforms Reisner technicians into pump handling experts

Top level energy efficiency: Reisner Cooling Solutions install an increasing number of pumps with speed control by frequency inverter. To make these pumps fully infold their potential, they need an optimal parameterization. The Reisner service team is now fit for handling them perfectly, after pump manufacturer Grundfos now gave them an in-depth training on the subject.

Oliver Jung, customer training expert at Grundfos, arrived with a fully equipped training truck at the Reisner premises in Holzwickede and divided the team into small groups for their lessons. The truck contained different pumps from the Grundfos product range that Reisner usually integrate into their customers’ systems. These pumps allow parametrization via display and via the new Grundfos app, and Jung explained both methods.

One advantage of the app handling is that all the app allows to save and store all parametrizations and send them via e-mail. With the help of this data, a service technician unfamiliar with the respective pump can get orientated at a glance before leaving for his service operation at the customer’s. During the training course, Jung also introduced the technicians to the advanced fault management features. The Reisner technicians learned how to read out the fault recorders in order to accurately identify and eliminate any problems.

The seminar was a great success, and Dietmar Werth, manager of the Reisner electronics department, is fully content with the outcome: “In advance we had the opportunity to discuss our demands with Grundfos. So, we ended up exactly working on the issues we needed to deal with. Now we can help our customers in everyday service business even more quickly and more precisely.”
