• Cooling lubricant conditioning and cooling combined in a single compact system • Customised toolsmart systems for retrofitters • Solutions suitable for retrofitting
The AMB trade fair in Stuttgart closes with a very positive result for technotrans AG. This year's trade fair for the metalworking industry was the chosen venue for the premiere of a combination unit for industrial 3D printing. It combines features such as cooling lubricant conditioning and multiple-circuit laser cooling in a single solution. The interest shown by the trade fair visitors clearly exceeded all expectations.
"We did not really expect this enormous amount of positive feedback," says Christian Walczyk, head of industrial system solutions at technotrans. "Our combination unit definitely struck a chord." With the new modular system, technotrans replaces a whole series of several peripheral devices for cooling, filtration and conditioning. Visitors at the company stand were able to have a close look at a prototype, which nearly always resulted in very specific talks about the potential areas of application and the availability of the system.
The new combination unit based on two product series for cooling lubricant conditioning and multiple-circuit laser cooling has been specifically developed for additive manufacturing by technotrans. The system has a modular and compact design resulting in an even higher level of reliability and lower energy costs.
Compact systems for straightforward operation
Other systems presented at the trade fair: Units of the toolsmart series, which are already well-established for filtration and temperature control applications in the context of machine tools, and units of the omega.line series, which are used in laser cooling and other applications. Both systems clearly convinced the visitors from the metalworking sector at the trade fair. The toolsmart.line equipment is not only space-saving. It also enables the control of several different processes via a single control unit. As a result, one single cooling system can supply several different manufacturing areas. The resulting lower operating costs are only one factor. It is also a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution. As an additional benefit, the system can be retrofitted to already existing machines. Beyond that, the company from Sassenberg also produces bespoke cooling systems for punching and forming applications.
