At technotrans, you have plenty of opportunities to put your theoretical knowledge into practice – whether in the form of an internship or a practical semester, by working as a student employee or as part of your final thesis. And who knows, perhaps one of these activities results in getting started with a successful career at technotrans!
Learning experiences that are in step with actual practice
Internship at technotrans.
Students from school, university and college alike have the opportunity to complete an internship at technotrans. The first contact is usually made at higher education fairs, where we present our group of companies and get to know potentially interested students in person. However, conventional, unsolicited applications are always welcome as well.
The offer of an internship applies to all fields and departments at technotrans, i.e., depending on your major, you can complete an internship in one of the technical fields named Business Units, in the product development or product qualification departments, as well as in the administrative and accounting fields like Human Resources or Finance.
Interns are integrated into our daily work processes and given a set workload, providing them with a comprehensive overview of our day-to-day business. Cross-departmental internships are also conceivable to become acquainted with various departments at technotrans.
The following types of internships are being offered:
- Voluntary internships
- Mandatory internship as part of a bachelor's or master's degree or as an entry requirement for academic course work
- Internship semesters
- Student employment
We are usually flexible as to the starting time of your internship and its duration. This certainly also depends on the capacity and workload of the relevant department.

Final thesis and project works
We are happy to assist students with the preparation of their project work or final thesis. The latter is often combined with the mandatory internship for a bachelor's degree.
We frequently offer subjects from one of the following technical fields: refrigeration technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, process technology, thermodynamics, automatic control science and technology, electrical power engineering, filtration, fluid technology, software engineering, hardware engineering and metrology. Subjects from the administrative and accounting field focus on controlling and accounting, sales and services, and human resources.
Upon receipt of your application – by preference via our online application forms – the corresponding department is contacted to review capacities and the selected subject. Then we schedule a personal interview to talk about the selected subject and further procedure. In case of a positive outcome, the time is set and we're ready to go.
The internship contract or a similar agreement always serves as the legal basis. We are currently cooperating with Hochschule Hamm-Lippstadt; there have also been many projects with the Fachhochschule Münster.
