Washing Agent Screening Test

To ensure an efficient operation of ecoclean.line an to capitalise on all possible savings, the used washing agent must be test regularly in a screening test and always tested prior to using a new washing agent batch.

The filtrate of the operated system must also be tested at regular intervals. This helps exclude admixtures of foreign substances (solvents, cleaning agents, etc.) that would disturb the recycling process.

Washing agent test

1. Fill 500 ml water (water quality: 8-12° German Harness, drinking water quality without any contamination) and 500 ml of the washing agent to be tested into a suitable clear glass container. Close the container.

2.Shake the container firmly until the liquids have mixed completely, but for 60 sconds minimum.

3. Put the container down and start the evaluation after a 4-hour waiting period.

Evaluation

After expiry of the 4-hour waiting period, 2 distinct phases must have formed again.

If one of the results below is found, the washing agent must not be used in the ecoclean system. In this case please get in touch with your washing agent supplier and catch up on amended composition if necessary.

  • When an intermediate layer is formed (in most cases, the washing agent contains emulsifiers).
  • When the washing agent still contains water (turbidity of washing agent phase is visible).
  • When the water still contains washing agent (turbidity of water phase is visible).
