We put forth every effort to ensure transparency and open communication on a level playing field. We have prepared a list of frequently asked questions and the appropriate answers, detailing some of the most important information, to resolve some issues and concerns beforehand.
Apprentices at technotrans are entitled to 30 days of leave per year. For the first and final years, this entitlement is calculated proportionately according to the days worked in the given year. Students at technotrans are entitled to take study leave, in addition to the 30 days of regular leave.
The probationary period is 4 months.
Requirements for an apprenticeship shortened by six months during the training:
1.The scholastic performance in the subjects relevant to the final exam must correspond to a minimum grade average of 2.5. A "satisfactory" grade or higher must be attained in all of these subjects.
2.The interim exam must be passed with a grade of 2.5 or higher
3.The business-relevant performance must be above grade average and it must be possible to convey all business-relevant content within the shortened period.
Requirements for the shortened training period must be met in advance:
There is proof of: an advanced vocational certificate of education, the A levels, or an already completed professional training programme. The training period can also be shortened when a vocational training programme is being continued, or when professional experience has already been gained in the relevant profession.
From our point of view, there are no clear advantages of a dual education programme when compared to a conventional education programme. There are many students at technotrans who have first completed vocational training and later have signed up for academic studies in the relevant area.
Doing so extends the overall training period, but the person undergoing the training has the opportunity to make certain that he or she has chosen the right profession and can then focus on academic studies.
Succeeding in a dual education programme is a lot more demanding because it requires attendance of a vocational school, working in the company, and pursuing academic studies. The chances of moving up the career ladder are the same either way.
We give preference to applications submitted via our online application system. Naturally, we also accept applications submitted by conventional means. In this case, we will digitalise your documents and further process these. The same evaluation criteria apply to all applications.
There are several advisors throughout the training programme to give support to the apprentices. The first person to contact is the relevant instructor whose door is open to answer questions. Every apprentice is also supported by a mentor and a coach. The mentor would be a longstanding employee at technotrans who is very familiar with the company. The coach would be a senior apprentice assigned to the freshman apprentice.
Yes, Ms Tina Wegmeth is the contact person in this regard.

Formal training programmes start on 1st August every year.
To technotrans, today's apprentices are the highly qualified personnel of tomorrow. This is confirmed by the fact that well over 90 percent of apprentices are hired on a permanent basis. The question as to in which area an apprentice finds placement depends on several factors: Where are the strengths of the apprentice? Which area is of particular interest to the apprentice? In which areas does technotrans need new talent?
Yes, this is possible. Simply sign in to our career portal and apply for all positions you are interested in by using your saved documents.
The application process for the following year typically starts during the summer holidays of the previous year.
The fields of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering are combined in both occupations. These fields are taught in detail during the formal training programme to become a mechatronics technician. The apprentice undergoing training to become a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology receives additional instruction in the subject area of climate control and refrigeration technology. The department where you would be working upon successful completion of training is the same for both occupations.
We are offering additional in-house instruction in electrical engineering for relevant training areas, instruction in our training centre for refrigeration technology, in-house instruction in the area of drafting, as well as instruction in how to prepare for exams in the corresponding occupational areas. Instruction given within the company is mainly focused on practical application. Additional projects are being offered in the areas of electrical engineering, for examples, to those who are particularly interested or excel in given subject areas.
