Dual education programme

Doubling up

Every year we are offering a number of applicants the option of participating in a dual education programme, i.e., combining on-the-job training with academic instruction. Are you open-minded, enthusiastic, target-oriented, reliable and enjoy working in a team? Then put in your application!

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

The formal training programme to become a mechatronics technician is combined with studies in mechanical engineering so that you not only gain practical experience in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and mechanics, but also acquire scientific, engineering-relevant skills based on the development and design of mechatronic systems.

    Training period

    • 4,5 years (9 semesters)

    Required qualifications

    • Above-average qualifications from a (career-minded) grammar school
    • Strong willingness to learn, self-reliant, target-oriented, appreciation for technical complexities, good organisational skills, proficient in English
  • Industrial Engineer / Bachelor in Engineering

Industrial engineers serve as the interface between economics and technology in companies, and as a graduate of a dual education programme you are well-prepared to enter this profession. On-the-job business administration training or technical training is followed by academic studies in science to complement your knowledge base and to well-prepare and qualify you for the tasks at technotrans.

    Training period

    • 3 years (6 semesters)

    Required qualifications

    • Above-average qualifications from a (career-minded) grammar school
    • Strong willingness to learn, self-reliant, target-oriented, appreciation for technical and economic interrelationships, proficient in English
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Your comprehensive training to become an electrical engineer takes place in parallel to academic studies in science and within as early as 2.5 years you can earn the professional qualification. Academic studies begin with the second year of formal training and they serve to complement your knowledge base, acquired in the production of mechanical, electrical and electronic components, with scientific expertise in the field of electrical engineering.

Administration and economic academies and universities of applied sciences impart business administration theories, which you will be able to put into practice in your daily work routine while deepening and broadening the knowledge acquired from formal training in academic studies.

Please note: The bachelor's degree course should be combined with formal training to become an IT specialist or a management assistant for IT systems.

    Training period

    Required qualifications

    • Above-average qualifications from a career-minded professional school or A levels
