Application process

In five steps to an apprenticeship

Any type of application is welcome, regardless whether you choose to e-mail it or use conventional means; applications received using our online application form are given preference, however. Our online application system also allows for saving the application and completing it later. It is possible to submit one application for various positions and the online system is also compatible with the use of smart phones.

We want our application processing system to be transparent and we would like to outline it for you below:

1. Confirmation of receipt

If you have completed the online application form, the receipt of the application is usually confirmed immediately via e-mail. The receipt of your application sent by e-mail or by conventional means is confirmed within three to four business days.

2. Review

Upon receipt of your application, it will be reviewed by the human resource department or the specialised department (in this case the instructors) and checked for completeness. Further documents may be requested as needed. This process can take up to four weeks.

3. Special requirements for mechatronics technicians (refrigeration technology)

It is common practice at technotrans that applicants for an apprenticeship as mechatronics technician or mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology take an additional test before the actual interview takes place. We will send a separate invitation via e-mail or conventional mail, or call you, once we have received your documents.

4. Interview

When we have determined that you are a promising candidate based on your application (and possibly test results), we will invite you to the first interview, which would be about one week after the decision has been made internally. We purposely avoid putting pressure on people at interviews, but make every effort to meet on a level playing field, with the objective of getting to know one another.

5. Introductory day

Having succeeded in meeting our expectations, you will possibly be invited to an introductory day in your future department. After all it is not just a case of us deciding on you, but also of you deciding on us!

The course of such an introductory day can widely vary and depends on your application. This day can be used to become better acquainted with one another, meaning the asking and answering of in-depth questions on both sides. We often ask our applicants to complete a first task to gain a first impression of the applicant's work approach under real-life conditions. We make every effort to schedule such an appointment within four weeks after the interview.
