"In the course of our research and development work and, also during our everyday product management work, we continuously get new insights into the causal connections between various factors of the offset process", explains Eike Moes, product manager at technotrans. "Naturally we document these findings at technotrans, so the next obvious step was to edit them, thereby giving users at the printing companies access to this pool of information."

Due to the wide range of products offered by technotrans, the company's experts deal with every conceivable individual process from dampening solution circulation, ink unit temperature control, filtration, measuring and control systems, up to fluid recycling and therefore have an eye on the whole picture. "It's like cooking", says Eike Moes with a wink. "If the soup does not taste good, any one of the ingredients may be to blame. The same goes for offset printing. There are so many factors which can spoil the soup - to continue the metaphor. And we at technotrans not only know them all, we can also explain them to the users!"
