technotrans AG, system supplier for offset printing with its headquarters in Sassenberg in Northwest Germany, is an internationally active group of companies with service and production locations all over the world. The technotrans AG product range comprises peripheral units and systems for all applications around and in a printing press, from small-format sheet-fed offset printing to newspaper rotary presses. And this is not the only reason why the Westphalian company is present at the Print 05 in Chicago, the United States' largest trade fair for the printing industry.

The German system provider will put this trade fair to good use by presenting a wide range of products. The dampening solution circulation and ink unit temperature control systems will be presented using the alpha-series units, i.e. the smallest series in this field intended for small to medium-format sheet-fed offset printing. The alpha.v coating circulation and preparation unit which is part of this series will also be on display. The beta.c is a central dampening solution circulator and temperature control unit for medium to large-format sheet-fed offset printing. The product range for these formats is rounded off by an infrared hot-air dryer which is one of the most powerful units in its category and by the beta.f dampening solution fine filtration system, which works in a bypass line with the dampening solution circulator and substantially stabilizes the production process.

In the field of automated ink supply, solutions ranging from sheet-fed offset presses to newspaper printing are shown. This starts with the proven ink.line which is installed directly above the ink duct in sheet-fed offset printing and which supplies ink from 2 kg cartridges, continues with the ink.trac and goes up to the auto.fill and multi.fill units. These filling units in web offset and newspaper printing are part of a central container-based ink supply system using complex pipework and powerful pumps which are also on display on the technotrans stand.

The presentation of the Sassenberg-based company is completed by the latest generation of spray bars, which have been equipped with interesting new features, in particular for single-width presses. Another exhibit is the ecoclean.line washing agent recycling unit which offers a considerable savings potential in the press room.

IST Metz GmbH of Nuertingen will join technotrans at this trade fair as a strategic partner for the American market. technotrans america offers their UV drying systems for sheet-fed offset printing on the North American market.

The company emphasizes that the presence on the American market is extremely important for technotrans. At present, work on the expansion of the service network on the continent continues in order to be able to support the customers and users there even more efficiently and with minimal delay.
