Extensions to benefit service operations / investment volume of some EUR 4.5 million / space for approx. 150 employees
technotrans AG is to invest in a significant increase in capacity at its main location in Sassenberg, Westphalia. The Supervisory Board yesterday approved the plans for the new building, which represents a total investment volume of around EUR 4.5 million. The five-storey octagonal building envisaged is to provide an effective floor area of 3,500 square metres, providing additional space for service operations in particular. It offers scope for accommodating up to 150 new employees over the next few years.
The previous extension to the Sassenberg location was completed as recently as 2001. "In view of the growth of recent years and the positive prospects for the future, we now need to increase our capacity particularly in sales and service, and streamline our administrative processes," remarked Heinz Harling, Chairman of the Board of Management of technotrans AG. "Considering that our service operations have increased by 40 percent since the last extension, the latest extension by 60 percent cannot be considered inordinately ambitious. Nevertheless, the new building to house the group head offices will provide a new focus merely by virtue of its height." The building is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2008.Download Photo 1 technotrans new location Sassenberg Download Photo 2 technotrans new location Sassenberg
