New cleaning system for the developer fluid taps considerable potential for savings / no consumables thanks to use of centrifugal force

The developer used for producing printing plates generally becomes quickly contaminated with dissolved particles after a short period of use. As a consequence, running costs are inflated by the need to add fresh developer and by tiresome cleaning procedures. spinclean.ctp, being unveiled by technotrans at DRUPA 2004, is the first innovative cleaning system for developer to provide significant scope for savings in this area. It uses the centrifugal force of a rotating plate-type drum and therefore manages without any costly consumables.

The spinclean.ctp system cleans the developer continuously and efficiently in a bypass to the developing bath, without affecting the actual plate production process. The integral cooling system moreover ensures that the temperature of the developer is not exceeded, even during cleaning. The result is a clean developing bath at all times, leading to developed printing plates of constant quality and a reduction of intensive cleaning intervals.

Up to three developing systems can be served simultaneously by the spinclean.ctp. Significantly lower amounts of fresh developer are needed as a result. The purchasing and disposal costs are reduced accordingly, to the benefit of both the environment and your finances.
